On preparing teens for the workforce

It was my absolute pleasure to chat with Remi Sobomehin, CEO and founder of Ambition Angels. This East Palo Alto-based start up is on a journey to equip Black and brown teens nationwide with the skills, resources, opportunities, and support needed to thrive in college, career, and life. His podcast, Road to Ambition, focuses on topics such as youth development, education, technology, teen mental health, racial equity, and economic opportunity.

In this episode, Remi was kind enough to share with me how Long Life Learning helped the team at Ambition Angels revolutionize their app curriculum. We also discussed the important role mentors can play in the life of a young person as well as the necessity of practicing the skill of empathy in work and life.

All that being said, this was a pretty different kind of podcast, and we jumped into some powerful stuff, including grief, poetry, and guidance.
