Have you ever wrestled with the question of finding a sense of meaning or purpose in your work life? Over the coming years, this questioning and searching will become a much more frequent occurrence as our careers extend in unfathomable ways. This is my TED talk about "the soul of work,” or how we encounter others more fully in a longer, more turbulent work life.
I was so honored to be selected as a TEDx Editor’s Pick, but I was even more delighted when a group of local high school students approached me afterwards and told me that they not only loved the talk but also fully understood it! Greatest compliment ever….
Over the course of the next year, I’ll be releasing a podcast series on this same topic with my colleague and friend, Dana Allen Walsh. It’ll be called “A Life Worth Working.” More details to come, but if you enjoyed this talk, please don’t forget to subscribe to here to make sure you stay in the loop for that future release.
Please feel free to share the TEDx talk widely with your friends and loved ones who may also be searching for purpose and meaning in their work lives, or the soul of work.
